Leading interior designer Beth Webb of Beth Webb Interiors is a master at creating timeless and casually elegant spaces that exude a sense of Southern hospitality and charm. Webb’s unique design perspective and keen eye are informed by her extensive background in the arts – she studied at Sotheby’s London and spent time immersed in the New York art world at Hirschl & Adler Galleries – as well as her far-flung travels to the world’s most illustrious museums, country houses, and palaces. Webb’s penchant for great art, beautiful proportions, and luxurious yet approachable touches come together in her expertly crafted homes, reflecting each client’s true character and personality. A champion of the neutral palette, Webb incorporates layers of interesting textures, sumptuous materials, fine art, and antiques into her interiors, creating dynamic spaces that are sophisticated and inviting.

Based in Atlanta, Webb’s projects include homes throughout the southeast, as well as residences in Los Angeles, Florida, Connecticut, Michigan, and Costa Rica. Her interiors, which range from traditional to contemporary, have been featured in an array of regional and national publications, including Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles, Coastal Living, Elle Decor, House Beautiful, and Southern Accents. Webb has served on the board of the Florence Academy of Art, a center dedicated to the training of young artists in classical methods of drawing, painting and sculpture, for eighteen years. She is also an active members of the Leaders of Design Council, an exclusive educational organization of designers, executives, editors, and other industry leaders, aimed at improving the welfare of the design industry as a whole.

Webb browsed InCollect and selected objects that would be right at home in one of her carefully curated interiors. According to Webb, “In all of our interiors, there is a studied simplicity. We are known for fairly edited interiors and I tend to gravitate toward elegant, simplistic, sculptural pieces. I think my choices for my ‘Simply Speaking’ Collection reflect that sensibility.”

Among Webb’s top picks are classical pieces, including an eighteenth century ball-foot kas with inlaid decoration from Bernard & S. Dean Levy, a striking and rare Tiffany Studios bronze Lily Pad mirror from Lillian Nassau LLC, and a Roman marble portrait head from the mid-third century AD from Rupert Wace Ancient Art as well as mid century modern furniture and design. Webb’s mid century modern selections include a sleek silver and ebony Art Deco centerpiece by Tétard Frères from Spencer Marks Ltd., a trapezoidal end table by Harold M. Schwartz for Romweber from Assemblage Ltd., a plush tête-à-tête by Harvey Probber upholstered in Bruno Triplet Noir Ash from Todd Merrill Studio, a black walnut trestle console table by the mid century modern design master George Nakashima from Moderne Gallery, a sculptural floor lamp by Tommi Parzinger from Objects20c, an elegant figurative drawing by the modernist sculptor and architect Jacques Schnier from Conner-Rosencranz, and a caned lounge chair by the Danish designer Ib Kofod-Larsen for Selig of Denmark from Archive. Webb’s folk art favorites include a painted make-do Pennsylvania cupboard from Jeff R. Bridgman American Antiques and Antique American Flags, a unique New England bat house or dovecote from Steven S. Powers Works of Art & Americana, and an eye-catching American high wheeler bicycle from Just Folk.
