The 28th iteration of the Los Angeles Modernism Show & Sale will kick off on Friday, April 24, 2015, presenting guests with a top-notch selection of furniture, fine art, and decorative objects representing all design movements of the 20th century, including early Art Deco pieces, American studio furniture, and mid century modern design. The show is produced by Dolphin Promotions, the company behind the Palm Springs Modernism Show & Sale -- another highly-anticipated event for collectors of mid century modern furniture, art, and design.

This year’s Los Angeles Modernism Show & Sale will feature over forty national and international exhibitors, including Archive (Laguna Beach, CA), specialists in 20th century design; Bridges Over Time (Newburgh, NY), dealers of 19th to 21st century antiques, design, fine art, and garden items; mid century modern furniture dealer Aaron Mapp (Miami, FL); Didier Ltd (London), specialists in jewelry by postwar painters and sculptors; Loft Thirteen (Los Angeles, CA), dealers of high-end mid century modern furniture and Danish modern design; Reform Gallery (Los Angeles, CA), which focuses on California modernism; Pierre Anthony Galleries (Palm Beach, FL), dealers of period art and antiques; and Royle (Miami, FL), dealers of mid century modern furniture and design. In addition to fine and decorative arts from the 20th century, collectors, interiors designers, and other industry professionals will be able to browse a selection of contemporary design at the show.

Held at 3Labs, a contemporary event space in Culver City’s industrial Hayden Tract Arts District, the Los Angeles Modernism Show & Sale will begin with an Opening Night Party benefiting P.S. Arts -- a non-profit aimed at improving the lives of children by providing arts education to underserved public schools and communities. Hosted by a number of design luminaries, including the award-winning architect Frank Gehry and influential interior designers Jeffrey Alan Marks and Kelly Wearstler, the show’s opening event is known for attracting a mélange of high-profile tastemakers and celebrities. Members of the show’s design committee, including leading interior designers Betsy Burnham of Burnham Design, Elizabeth Dinkel of Elizabeth Dinkel Design Associates, Trip Haenisch of Trip Haenisch & Associates, Jaime Rummerfield of Woodson & Rummerfield's House of Design, Windsor Smith of Windsor Smith Home, and Nathan Turner, will also be in attendance.

The show’s additional programming will include a series of events celebrating the upcoming release of An Eames Anthology: Articles, Film Scripts, Interviews, Letters, Notes, and Speeches by the husband-and-wife design team Charles and Ray Eames and edited by Daniel Ostroff. Ostroff will discuss the volume on Saturday, April 25, during a thirty-minute lecture, which will be followed by a Q+A session and a book signing. Published by Yale University Press, An Eames Anthology brings together the writings of the esteemed American architects and designers and explores the inimitable duo’s marriage and professional partnership of fifty years.

The Los Angeles Modernism Show & Sale will be open to the public through Sunday, April 26, 2015.
