Angelique

French

Before establishing herself as an artist, Angélique pursued a career as an art dealer. In the vibrant art scene of the 1980s, she collaborated with renowned French art dealers Philippe Jousse and Patrick Seguin in Montreuil. However, she soon felt drawn to more creative pursuits and decided to explore her passion for sewing. Venturing into Le Marais neighborhood in Paris, she underwent a two-year apprenticeship under a master tailor, delving deep into the intricacies of pattern-making, sewing, and embroidery.

Today, Angélique's artistic expression spans photography and sculpture, with her creations intricately crafted from PET and organza. Drawing inspiration from traditional techniques, her artworks, whether still lifes or portraits, exude a captivating elegance. Sculptures, in particular, are brought to life through a delicate layer of white gauze, evoking a mesmerizing interplay of presence and absence, fullness and emptiness.

Angélique's talent has garnered attention from prestigious collectors and luxury brands worldwide, including Hermès, Van Cleef & Arpels, Patek Philippe, and Sisley. Her artworks also find a place of honor in public collections, such as Frac Haute Normandie in France.
