Cecile Ballureau
French
Cécile Ballureau is from the lineage of these French designers recognized worldwide for the inventiveness of their creations in the fields of interior decoration and luxury. Succeeding the frozen industrial series of the sixties, this self-taught who learned everything from the best assembly houses in the capital where she worked, is one of those who prefer the unique piece, the furniture between sculpture and useful object. This is how his creations were chosen by the international decorators to debanalize and punctuate with their keys for their most sumptuous projects of decorative sets.
Cécile Ballureau’s furniture could be attributed to add the atypical touch that they confer on a decorative harmony that could have appeared without them extinguished, but also, for their inspiration from animal themes as in the remarkable “Rottweller” bench. Bear, insects, fossils … and even humans, play a very trendy isomorphism with stools, consoles, happiness-of-the-day … Such “Bench with the lioness” is not without reinterpreting the mythological furniture of Pharaoh or the eighteenth “Return from Egypt” or another “Walk where the road leads us” who likes to evoke the second degree centipede! The sumptuousness of the materials, bronzes, precious slates, turned morocco, silver and gold … is “disarmed” thanks to this whimsical and just inventiveness of an authentic animal nature present in the French tradition since the very old brilliant Gallic goldwork.
