Elis Bergh
Swedish, 1881 - 1954
Swedish designer Elis Bergh was well known for his work with silver, glass and his lighting design. In his early years he worked for Herman Bergmann's art foundry-which had a long relationship with sculptor Carl Milles. Bergh also designed for the leading Swedish silversmiths, C.G. Hallberg, creating chandeliers noted for their simplicity and beauty. In 1929, he became the chief designer with the Kosta glassworks creating some of their most celebrated designs. Elis Bergh lighting chandeliers silver & glass decorative objects remain popular today.
