Gösta Jonsson

Swedish
Gösta Jonsson (1902-1958) was a Swedish furniture designer and architect. He was born in Skåne, Sweden, and studied architecture at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. After graduating, he worked as an architect for several years before turning his attention to furniture design.

Jonsson's designs were characterized by their simplicity and functionality, with a focus on clean lines and natural materials. He worked with a variety of materials, including wood, metal, and upholstery, and his designs often incorporated elements of both traditional Scandinavian design and the modernist aesthetic of the mid-20th century.

Today, Gösta Jonsson is considered one of the most important furniture designers of his time, and his designs are highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts of mid-century modern design. His work can be found in museums and private collections around the world.
