Henri Cros
French, 1840 - 1907
Henri Cros (1840-1907) was a French ceramicist and painter, associated with the Art Nouveau movement. He was known for his decorative pottery, which often featured intricate designs and naturalistic motifs such as flowers and leaves. Cros was also an important figure in the development of the pâte de verre technique, which involves melting and fusing glass powders to create sculptural forms. His work is represented in several museum collections, including the Musée d'Orsay in Paris.
