Jean-Paul Barray & Kim Moltzer are French furniture desingers. Their well known for their collaboration on the "Penta Chair" a five-cornered shaped steel & natural canvas lounge chair for Bofinger, a German furniture manufacturer. 
Jean-Paul Barray was born in 1930 in Saint-Etienne, France and was a designer, painter, sculpture, artist and engineering consultant. He studies at the Beaux-Arts de Lyon and eventually worked for Le Corbusier and Wogenscky. In 1967, Barray collaborated with Kim Moltzer for an armchair, table & lamp all with the theme of “Penta”. In 1968, he worked for Daum to create a puzzle sculpture and a year later starts his own design studio. Jean-Paul Barray passed in 2012. 
Kim Moltzer is also a French artist with decades of experience with furniture design and sculpture. Many of his designs follow the flow of plants and include leaves, bamboo and other natural designs. His work ranges from open leaf chairs, animal inspired lamps and tables. He also has many deco inspired designs with modern twists. A broader collection of his work can be found on his website.
