Danish, 1925 - 1997
Kerstin Hörlin-Holmquist (1925-1997) was a Swedish furniture designer who was active during the mid-20th century. She is best known for her elegant and functional furniture designs, which were popular throughout Scandinavia and Europe.

Hörlin-Holmquist was influenced by the modernist design movement, and her designs were characterized by their simple forms, clean lines, and use of natural materials. She was particularly interested in the use of bentwood and plywood in furniture design, and she often incorporated these materials into her designs.

Some of Hörlin-Holmquist's most famous furniture designs include the "Lilla Åland" armchair, which features a distinctive curved backrest and seat, and the "Cobra" chair, which was inspired by the shape of a serpent and featured a sweeping, sinuous form. She also designed a range of upholstered furniture, including sofas and lounge chairs, which were known for their comfort and elegance.

Today, Hörlin-Holmquist's furniture designs are highly sought after by collectors and design enthusiasts, and her work has been exhibited in museums and galleries around the world.
