LeRoy Neiman (American, June 8, 1921–June 20, 2012) was a prominent American Impressionist artist known for his vibrant portrayals of sporting events and scenes of leisure, which have become iconic in the United States. Raised in Saint Paul, MN, he received his education at a Catholic primary school, where his early artistic inclinations began to take shape.
