Liza Todd-Tivey
American, 1957
Liza Todd-Tivey is an American artist known for her contemporary sculptures and installations. Born in 1957 in Los Angeles, California, Todd-Tivey studied at the California Institute of the Arts and later at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. She is best known for her large-scale, site-specific installations that often incorporate natural materials, such as stone, wood, and water, to create immersive environments that engage with the surrounding landscape. Todd-Tivey's work has been exhibited in galleries and museums around the world, and she has been the recipient of numerous awards and honors, including the Rome Prize in Visual Arts in 1995. In addition to her art practice, Todd-Tivey is also a dedicated advocate for animal welfare, and has worked with several non-profit organizations to promote animal rights and protection.
