Lorenz Hutschenreuther
German, 1817 - 1886
Lorenz Hutschenreuther was a German porcelain manufacturer who founded his porcelain factory in Hohenberg an der Eger, Bavaria, in 1814. The company was later taken over by his sons, and eventually merged with the porcelain factory of C.M. Hutschenreuther, which was founded by his nephew Christian Heinrich Hutschenreuther in Selb, Bavaria, in 1857. The merged company became known as Hutschenreuther AG, and produced a wide range of high-quality porcelain tableware, figurines, and decorative items. The company continued to operate until it was acquired by the Rosenthal Group in 2000. Today, Hutschenreuther porcelain is highly sought after by collectors around the world for its quality and craftsmanship.
