Mary Little
American
Born in Northern Ireland, Mary Little studied at London’s Royal College of Art, graduating with a Masters in
Furniture Design. She approaches her work as sculpture and is now known for her sculptural works in
neutral cotton canvas that interacts with light, surface and gravity.
She has exhibited in museums and galleries worldwide, including Musée de la civilization, Québec; Textile
Museum, D.C.; Übersee-Museum, Bremen; and Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA), London. Recently she had
her first solo show in her adopted city, at Craft in America Center, Los Angeles.
Her work has been reviewed in Artillery and Fabrik magazines, and she has been profiled in Luxe magazine.
Little is a 2019 recipient of the prestigious Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant and currently lives in Los
Angeles.
