Émile Gilioli

Émile Gilioli (1911-1977) was a French sculptor known for his abstract works. Born in Paris, he studied at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs and later at the Académie de la Grande Chaumière. He was part of the Abstraction-Création group and exhibited at the Salon des Surindépendants and Salon des Réalités Nouvelles. Gilioli's sculptures are characterized by their simple forms and smooth surfaces, often made of marble or bronze. Some of his notable works include "Les Flèches" (The Arrows), "Le Tombeau de Saint-Exupéry" (The Tomb of Saint-Exupéry), and "L'Ange de la Paix" (The Angel of Peace).
