Robyn Denny
British, 1930 - 2014
Robyn Denny (1930–2014) was an English abstract painter whose work spanned more than five decades. He was associated with the British abstract movement of the 1950s and '60s, and his work was heavily influenced by the gestural brushwork of the Abstract Expressionists. His paintings often explored the similarities and differences between the visible and the invisible, with an emphasis on light and colour. He was a member of the Royal Academy of Arts and had works displayed in both private and public collections around the world.
