Rolf Bohlin
Swedish, 1890 - 1943
Rolf Bohlin (1920-2017) was a Swedish artist and graphic designer. He was born in Eskilstuna, Sweden and studied at the Konstfack University College of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm. Bohlin is best known for his contributions to the design of Swedish banknotes, including the 10-krona, 20-krona, and 50-krona notes, which were in circulation from the 1950s to the early 1990s. He also designed postage stamps for Sweden's postal service, Posten AB, and worked on advertising campaigns for various Swedish companies. Bohlin's artistic style was characterized by clean lines and bold, flat colors. He passed away in Stockholm in 2017 at the age of 96.
