Sculptor Jérôme Pereira draws inspiration from the forces of nature, particularly focusing on the concept of balance. The collaboration between these two artists birthed the project "Awaré," a unique duo that poetically merges wood and textile. The name "Awaré" draws from the Japanese expression "mono no aware," encapsulating the poignant sense of impermanence, as well as the English adjective "aware," signifying knowledge, alertness, and consciousness.
Teaming up with maison parisienne, Sylvia Eustache Rools and Jérôme Pereira showcase their one-of-a-kind pieces where sculpted wood unveils various facets, balances, and imperfections that are transformed into treasures.
