Giuseppe Scapinelli

Italian, 1891 - 1982
Giuseppe Scapinelli, born in 1891 in Modena, Italy, found his second home in Brazil, where he left an indelible mark on the furniture industry. His journey to success began in the vibrant city of São Paulo during the 1950s, where he established his renowned furniture factory, Fábrica de Móveis Giesse, and a carpet factory known as Fábrica de Tapetes Santa Helena.

Renowned for his impeccable craftsmanship and visionary designs, Scapinelli's furniture pieces are revered for their exquisite use of Brazilian traditional wood. What truly distinguished his work was his penchant for soft shapes and flowing lines, setting him apart from his contemporaries in the industry.

Scapinelli's creative genius extended beyond mere design; he meticulously crafted unique pieces that adorned the interiors of distinguished São Paulo homes. His legacy continues to inspire contemporary furniture designers, even after his passing in 1982.
