Yumiko Kuga

Yumiko Kuga is a Japanese ceramic artist who was born in Gifu, Japan. She studied ceramics at the Musashino Art University in Tokyo and later received her MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art in Michigan, USA. Kuga is known for her minimalist, abstract ceramic sculptures that explore the relationship between form and space. She has exhibited her work in galleries and museums throughout Japan and the United States, including the Museum of Arts and Design in New York City, and has received numerous awards and fellowships for her contributions to the field of ceramics. Kuga currently lives and works in New York City.
