1 Volume. Lord Macaulay, Lays of Ancient Rome. Bound in full red morocco with boards displaying incredibly detailed and intricate gilt detailing with weaponry, birds, and angelic depictions alongside a decorative gilt border. Raised bands gilt with panels displaying floral details and double-ruled borders as well as labels bordered and lettered in gilt. Includes illustrations, original and from the antique drawn on wood by George Scharf, Jun. Published by Longman, Green, Longman, Roberts & Green in London, 1865.
