19 Volumes. Bret Harte, The Writings. Autograph Edition. Bound by Stikeman in full blue morocco with the covers displaying ornate gilt-tooled bordering with floral details. The spines display raised bands, floral details, bordering, and label lettering, all gilt-tooled. The top edges are gilded with blue morocco gilt-bordered turn-ins, red morocco doublures with gilt-tooled floral corner details, and silk endpapers. Illustrated by Photogravures and including introductions, glossary, and indexes. Authors Autograph #191 of 350. Includes a letter from the author to his literary agent. Published by Houghton, Mifflin & Co. in Boston and New York, and The Riverside Press in Cambridge, 1896.
