Time Was Away. A Notebook in Corsica.
Stock Code 113570
London, John Lehmann Ltd., 1948
Current price$2,582.00
Signed by the illustrator. Signed and dated (1955) by the artist on the title page. Minton was a parsimonious inscriber of books; we have seen only one other example of this book bearing his signature.
First edition, first impression, first issue binding, signed by the illustrator; large 8vo; illustrated with 8 full page colour plates and many monochrome, 1955 ownership signature to front free endpaper, light foxing early and late; publisher's yellow cloth, decoration to spine gilt, titles to spine gilt on a green ground, with the Minton-designed dust-jacket; very good in the somewhat ragged dust-jacket. -
