Desolation Angels.
Stock Code 108112
New York, Coward-McCann Inc., 1965
Current price$967.00
Inscribed by the poet Allen Ginsberg. First US edition of Kerouac's semi-autobiographical novel. Written almost directly after On the Road, although published much later, Desolation Angels draws directly from Kerouac's life experiences with counterculture royalty William Burroughs, Allen Ginsberg, and Lucian Carr amongst others. This copy is signed and dated by Allen Ginsberg on the title page, 'Allen Ginsberg 2/2/85 Cambridge'.
First edition, first impression, inscribed by Allen Ginsberg; 8vo; light age-toning to leaves, otherwise unmarked internally; publisher's red cloh, black lettering to spine, gilt facsimile signature to upper cover, yellow endpapers, with the unclipped pictorial dustjacket, some edge-wear, otherwise an excellent example. -
