Third Oxford illustrated edition, later issue; 6 vols; 8vo (19 x 13.5 cm); dated ownership inscription in pen to front free endpaper recto, numerous photographic plates, occasional spotting, mostly affecting margins; publisher's green cloth, spine lettered in gilt, original blue typographic dustjackets, lettered in white and red, some vols price-clipped, a handsome set.
