The Heptameron, or Tales and Novels of Marguerite d’Angouleme, Queen of Navarre, now first completely done into English Prose and Verse from the original French by Arthur Machen with Etchings by Leopold Fleming: Printed only for Subscribers by George Barrie, Philadelphia, c. 1900, bound in ¾ royal blue morocco leather with blue buckram covers and marbled endpapers. Marguerite was he sister of Francis I of France, and grandmother of Henry !V of France, and a leader of arts and culture.
Good condition, with some rubbing of the edges. The measurements are for each volume. -
