One of the most famous and much-loved of the Dr Seuss titles, an environmental tale pitting the Lorax, speaking on behalf of the trees, against the unthinking industrial aspirations of the Once-ler. The book was made into a film twice, the most recent being the 2012 adaptation featuring Danny DeVito and Taylor Swift.
First edition, first printing; 4to (275 x 200 mm.); colour pictorial title, colour illustrations by Dr Seuss throughout, pictorial endpapers; publisher's pictorial matt boards, rubbed at extremities, generally age-toned but internally near-fine, without dust-jacket, as issued.
