Antique Victorian nautical gilt bronze clock and barometer pair

This elegant pair, comprised of a clock and a barometer, is a fine example of Victorian decorative art. The clock and barometer are modelled as ship wheels, each featuring a centrally placed circular dial, which is surrounded by a gilt bronze frame and a series of agate spoke-like handles. Both pieces are raised by scrolling brackets atop oval bases. One features a retailer's plaque engraved "Woodcock of Llandudno" and the other features one reading "Howell James & Co, Regent Street". -
