Tiffany French Louis XVI Clock Garniture Set, Bronze, Marble, 19th/20th Century
A French Louis XVI style three-piece gilt bronze and white marble clock garniture, retailed by Tiffany & Co., New York, NY, late 19th century
Comprising a clock, of lyre form, surmounted by sunray masque and decorated with laurel and ribboned garlands, on bun feet, with enameled porcelain dial inscribed, “Tiffany & Co./ France,” the works marked, “772”; and two four-light candelabras, of urn form, issuing candle cups in the form of blooming roses, the urn decorated with band of cut glass paste stones, and mounted with grapevine garlands, on tripod base, each leg with satyr masque terminal and ending in hoof feet, on round bases with peg feet, both marked to underside, “1718.”
