Description
This antique polychromed wood angel sits in a handmade glass faced copper case made by Hector Aguilar and signed with his “HA” Taxco Mexico monogram. Many of the Mexican artists and craftsman of the 1930’s – 1950’s not only incorporated early Mexican motifs into their work, but also collected antique Mexican relics such as this polychromed angel. Occasionally they incorporated them into their designs to create one of a kind jewelry and objects. This rare and unique cased angel by Hector Aguilar is a great example.
