Description
English Edwardian sterling silver and enamel picture frame, 1922. Rectangular window in same surround with arched top and silver sides. On front painted enamel flowers and shaped silver cartouche (vacant) on green guilloche ground between silver borders. Silver pencil in side-mounted cylinder. With glass, silk lining, and stained-wood back and hinged easel support. Pencil marked “Sterling Silver / Made in England”. Frame fully marked including maker’s stamp (Joseph Gloster Ltd) and Birmingham assay stamp. Very good condition.
