1960s French Concrete Planter

Description
A minimalist shape combined with an evocative natural patina gives this vintage planter a unique personality. Made in France in the 1960s, the design has a simple appeal: a square container, unembellished save for the slight protrusion of the lip and indent of the handle, strips form back to its essentials. Rounded corners soften the starkness of the silhouette, as does the attractive mossy patina that the surface has acquired over the years. The soft grey and blush tones of the concrete are freckled with spots of dark green lichen, lending the piece an earthy and organic inflection.
