English Hand-chiseled Stone Trough
-
Description
A substantial, antique English sandstone water trough, featuring wonderful texture from the hand-chiseled carving as well the developed patina from a life outdoors. The circular, although irregular, shape is low and wide to create a shallow vessel for catching water or growing plants. Tactile chisel marks communicate a distinct sense of age and artistry. With its durable construction and timeless, almost Neolithic design, this 19th century, or earlier, garden accessory would make a striking addition to any outdoor space in the country or in the city, complementing both traditional and modern design tastes. A fabulous pot for air plants or other low-maintenance flora. Please view the detailed images.
