Gilded Age Carved and Painted Wooden Display Pedestal
-
Description
This antique carved and turned wooden pedestal in the Baroque style is ideal for displaying sculptures, objets d'art, or plants. It is in the form of a Renaissance Era Corinthian column styled after Bernini's columns of the Baldacchino in St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican. It is made of hand-carved, helix-turned wood and gesso, and is hand-painted to resemble several varieties of marble and gold.
This architectural column is sturdy and substantial, and will display your art safely and elegantly. It is perfect for an entry hall, library, office, or any place where you want to make a statement and show a treasure. -
