Pair of 1960s Willy Guhl Planters
-
Description
Pair of Willy Guhl fiber-cement planters for Eternit of Switzerland, vintage 1960s, these are icons of midcentury modern aspirations for what fine living should look like. Each planter is a two-piece ensemble: a wide, yet shallow bowl (31 ¼” in diameter x 9 ¼” deep) sitting in a low, conical base. The bowl could be flat and grounded, or tilted at seemingly precarious angles for a bit of dramatic visual tension in the garden. It’s a dynamic composition that anyone can be a part of, no green thumb required. Whether gracing a patio, flanking a walkway, or lounging poolside these sculptural planters bring understated sophistication to any environment. Pierced with drainage holes for your convenience.
