A set of 3 bronze bells / wind chimes designed by architect, Paolo Soleri for Arcosanti , circa 1970s. These gorgeous cast solid bronze Soleri bell features a beautiful patina, abstract design on the bells and unique bronze elements. Completely original parts. Branded with the Arcosanti cypher. Each makes a lovely tone. These iconic and wind chime designed by architect, Italian designer Paolo Soleri for Arcosanti (the city he designed and built in Arizona in 1970).
Left: Overall length of bell is 34". Bell measures 5.5" H x 3.5" DIA.
Center: Length of bell elements 22". Overall 43.5" with thin chain. Bell measures 5" H x 4" DIA.
Right: Overall length of bell is 37". Bell measures 6" H x 5" DIA.
Paolo Soleri (1919-2013), the founder of Cosanti and Arcosanti, was an important artist, architecture, philosopher and urban planner. The Italian architect studied with Frank Lloyd Wright at Taliesin West in Arizona, and at Taliesin in Spring Green, Wisconsin. He would make his home and studio, Cosanti, near Taliesin West. -
