A petite table top painted marriage trunk from Sweden. This colorful and cheerful trunk has a painted reddish faux bois background with painted floral decorations on the top and front face, monogramed, “J A L, 1845.” This box has a domed top and has iron bounding on its exterior opening to a simple stripped pine interior.
