A wonderful bespoke photophore, hurricane, or storm lantern by Acroterion having a large rolled-rim clear glass shade mouth blown and hand-formed by master glassblowers Nathan Hoogs and Elizabeth Crawford of Hoogs & Crawford, Canaan, New York, secured by sealing wax in the traditional manner to an antique 18th century Indian mughal style brass baluster form hookah base, holding a removable japanned tin crimped-rim candle holder. An Acroterion original only available through Acroterion.com and Incollect.com. Additional measurements: Height of shade 13.75"; base 9.5" high by 6" round.
