-
Description
This is a model of a Boeing 247 passenger airplane table light that was made in 1933 by the A. C. Rehberger Corporation, Chicago, USA. These model were used in Travel Agents and Hotel lobbies to promote air travel by a particular Airline. This model has United Airlines markings. It is made from heavy painted metal. The model has a retractable under carriage & is complete with all it's antennas & markings. The airplane is also mounted on a metal ball bearing which allows the model to be tilted as if it were flying. The condition is exceptional, the airplane is in mint condition, the base has some minor water staining & some tiny paint chips. I have never seen this model before in such spectacular condition. It even has it's Art Deco style maker's label under the base. The only thing that was changed since 1933 is the wiring. This is truly a rare example of an early Trans Continental aircraft.
