Alessio Tasca (b. 1929) "Cornovaso" sculptural modern ceramic vase, Italy circa 1970s. Designed in 1968. This vase is formed from extruded ceramic in a triangular shape and hand sculpted into a the beautiful curve creating a minimalist abstract snail shape. . Open at each end. The ceramic is glazed in the classic chalk white glaze with raisin brown speckles. Marked with the original paper label and stamped on the bottom with the Tasca logo. Alessio Tasca was born in Nove, Vicenza, Italy in 1929. Tasca is a world renowned prize-winning ceramicist whose creations appear in institutions such as the Victoria & Albert Museum in London and the National Gallery of Modern Art in Rome. His creations have been honored at La Biennale in Venice and appeared in the Salone di Milano. -
