This Ancient Egyptian Ceramic Sculpture of a Boetian Horse on Wood Plinth Base originates from Egypt during the 3rd-1st Century BCE. The sculpture has an alluring dynamic and many details remain in tact, such as uniquely bold sculptural detailing around the neck of the horse, perhaps depicting a bridal or decorative wear, with dynamic curvatures and an elongated regal posture, with subtle remnants of the saddle visible on either side of the horse. A lovely piece with an incredible sense of history and timeless appeal, this sculpture will style well in a wide array of spaces and settings, from Classical to the Contemporary. In very good Vintage Condition.
