Description
1970’s Anthony Redmile London silver plate lidded box with a large agate, impressed signature Remile London. Stunning bold rectangular box, hinged cover surmounted with large agate, cedar lined interior. Anthony Redmile's or sometimes known as J Antony Redmile's design style has been defined as eccentric, opulent and over-the top. House and Garden Britain once described "without a doubt the most original, prolific and fantastical designer in Britain." Born in England in 1940, the Post-War and Contemporary designer is best known for his extravagant furniture design, Fine art objects, and interior design work. His objects d'art includes ostrich eggs adorned in malachite and silver, mirrors framed with horns, and animal forms trimmed with agate and seashells. Redmile's client list is comprised of Rod Stewart, Jaqueline Onassis, Erté and members of the British royal family among others. Measures: 5.00 x 3.00 x 4.00 inches. Condition: Good. Extreme minor wear to silver plate commensurate with age and mentioned purely for accuracy purposes only.
