This superb piece is a Greek Orthodox cross, crafted from silver, wood, and coral. The cross is comprised of a relief carved wooden cross contained within a pierced, architecturally formed silver frame, which is raised on a shaped silver stem above a spreading silver foot. The wooden cross is carved with imagery of Christ and saints, while the silver frame is mounted with red coral.
