Description
An antique Japanese Meiji era covered enamel over brass trinket or jewelry box. Circa: late 19th century to early 20th century. The ware is enameled with a polychrome image of a rooster and a hen in blossoming flowers with butterflies on the turquoise ground made in the Cloisonne technique.
