Japanese Meiji silver box, ca 1890. Rectangular with curved corners. Box sides have chased and engraved birds amidst blossoming branches and bamboo in rectangular frames. Cover top has same in cutout scalloped frame. Cover sides have tubular frames with engraved flower heads. Stippled ground. Marked. Good condition. Minor bumping on cover top.
