Description
This rare one of a kind Antonio Pineda sculpture was created for the Taxco Silver Fair in the 1950's. Comprised of a sterling silver figure of a resting ibex (with inset stone eyes) on a azurite base, in turn mounted on a sterling silver plinth. Hand forged and exceptionally crafted. Stamped to side of silver plinth: “FCI” “TPI7” “MEXICO” “970”, along with Piñeda's “Antonio Mexico” crown-shaped hallmark.
