Hand-blown vase from the Murrine Incatenate series, yellow glass with red and blue murrhines, by Anzolo Fuga for AVEM, Murano Italy, ca 1959. These Murrine Incatanate pieces are bold and graphic and unique works of art by one of the most important Murano glass designers.

Literature: Anzolo Fuga, Murano Glass Artist, Designs for A.V.E.M. by Rosa Barovier Mentasti, Acanthus Press, 2005, section titled "MURRINE INCATENATE 1959-60", pages 122 through 160. There is a picture of this vase shown on page 139.

Provenance: Evan Lobel purchased this piece directly from A.V.E.M. in 2001 as part of a large collection of pieces stored there from the 1950’s and 60’s.
