Description
Hand-blown vase with vertical rods by Anzolo Fuga for AVEM (Arte Vetraria Muranese), Murano Italy, 1955-6. The colorful rods interspersed among the white rods creates a very striking design.

AVEM, Arte Vetraria Muranese, Artistic Production 1932-72 by Marc Heiremans and published by Arnolsche in 2020, an archival photo of this model is shown at the top right corner of page 221. The original drawing for this piece is shown on page 314, bottom center.
Provenance: Evan Lobel purchased this piece directly from A.V.E.M. in 2001 as part of a large collection of pieces stored there from the 1950’s and 60’s. -
