Handblown glass vase composed of large bi-color murrhines and gold foil by Anzolo Fuga for Arte Vetraria Muranese (A.V.E.M.), Murano Italy ca 1956. The colors of the murrhines and the gold foil make this piece jewel-like.
Reference:
AVEM, Arte Vetraria Muranese, Artistic Production 1932-72 by Marc Heiremans and published by Arnolsche in 2020, a similar model with the same large murrhines and gold foil is shown on page 103.
Provenance:
Evan Lobel purchased this pieces directly from A.V.E.M. in 2001 as part of a large collection of pieces stored there from the 1940’s, 50’s and 60’s. -
