Rare antique bronze sculpture. This beautiful sculpture is signed by the French artist Moreau (1834-1917). The sculptural group represents two beautiful lovers embraced in a romantic dance and wrapped in a wonderful golden veil. Auguste Moreau (Dijon, February 22, 1834 - Dijon, November 11, 191) was a French sculptor.
Auguste Moreau is the son of the sculptor Jean-Baptiste-Louis-Joseph Moreau and the younger brother of the sculptors Hippolyte Moreau and Mathurin Moreau. Auguste Moreau mainly produces bronze sculptures. Many of his works are kept in the Troyes Museum of Fine Arts and the Musée des Beaux-Arts.
