Inspiration: Catherine has a particular attraction for “Natural History”, the baroque and chaotic environment of the undergrowth… “I use the technique of modelling unique pieces, the hand driven by an idea or a memory, the colour white evacuating the imitation.”
Catherine Blanc is a French visual artist and ceramist based in Toulouse. His favorite themes are the undergrowth and the seabed. Mystical places, associated with nature. They evoke a space that has an aura of spirituality, mystery, even divinity. An inspiration that the artist uses to represent places where natural and spiritual forces meet, where men can enter into communion with the divine or the sacred. -
